NDA Stands for
National Defence Academy, which is a premier joint training Institution and
center of excellence for producing junior officers, for the Indian armed
forces, and armed forces of friendly foreign countries. NDA imparts training to
young men, who choose the Armed Forces as their career.
To join NDA a
aspirant must appear in NDA entrance exam conducted by UPSC (Union Public
Service Commission). The NDA entrance examination is held twice a year. UPSC is solely responsible for issuing
guidelines for selection and the final conduct of the entrance examination.
NDA examination pattern
- There is written exam and after that a final interview round for selection
- NDA written exam paper has two sections
- Maths + General ability test
- Mathematics (Objective type): 300 Marks
- General Ability Test (Objective type): 600 Marks
- Total marks for written examination: 900 Marks
- Total marks for Interview round: 900 Marks
NDA exam eligibility criteria
- Candidate must have passed 10+2 from a recognized board in India. The students appearing for 10+2 can also apply
- Candidate must have studied Mathematics and Physics in 10+2
- Candidate must be unmarried
- Candidates must be physically fit
